US Energy Information Administration the (EIA) backs Turkey as a “Natural Gas” Transit Hub

Situated in the sixth biggest choke point in the world for the transit of Crude Oil 2.9 million barrels a day pass through Turkey from the Middle East, Central Asia and Russia on to Europe. Turkey has become the natural transit point for Oil and will become a major transit point for Natural Gas according to the EIA. The Turkish straits of the Bosphorus and Dardanelles are the main transit route for Russian and Caspian crude to access international markets
